A comedic murder mystery play by Ken Ludwig where famous actor William Gillette, known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, invites his fellow cast members to his mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration, only to have one of them murdered, forcing Gillette to utilize his Holmes-like detective skills to uncover the killer amongst the guests, all while maintaining a humorous and theatrical atmosphere.
